Established in 2019, Qmech Scotland Ltd is a Company that designs, installs and maintains bespoke fire sprinkler systems for the commercial, industrial, domestic and residential sectors of the construction industry.
Our past and current clients include Miller Homes, CHAP Group, Excelsior Services, T Clarke, Emtec, McAleer & Rushe and others along with private developers and contractors.
In 2025, due to an increasing inflow of requests for consultancy advice and high level design input the Directors of Qmech Scotland launched Qmech Design and Consultancy Ltd to focus on all elements of advisory and design in the fire sprinkler industry.
From initial consultation through to full scale system designs we offer our clients a suite of services from an experienced team who have a proven track record of delivering high quality designs and advice.
THE BUILDING SAFETY ACT 2022
This Act became law in 2023 (for Scotland please click here) and was introduced to address improving the safety of high-rise and other residential buildings. It established new regulations for building design, construction and management, with a strong emphasis on fire prevention in high risk buildings.
Overseen by the Building Safety Regulator it introduced much higher standards and accountability for all duty-holders (developers, landlords and so on) with very much more stringent penalties for non compliance.
From initial, pre-start fire safety consultations right through to fully compliant, bespoke fire sprinkler system designs, now, more than ever, developers and their teams require experienced, able and knowledgeable input during the entire life cycle of any relevant developments, including those of a remedial nature.
